JackPrivacy policy
Effective date: 28 September 2026
This policy explains what happens to the details you give us on getjack.dev. The site has one purpose today: a waiting list for Jack. We also measure how the site is found and used, without cookies.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Dasolve AS (Org.nr 936 035 019), Sølvspennetunet 56, H0403, 4032 Stavanger, Norway. Contact us about your data at hello@getjack.dev.
What we collect
When you join the waiting list, we receive:
- your email address (required);
- your name, company, role and what you would hand to an agent first, if you give them;
- the website that sent you to us and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as
utm_source), if there were any; - the time you signed up and the version of the consent text you agreed to.
Our form handler does not store your IP address.
Website analytics
We use PostHog to count visits and to learn how people find and read the site: which pages and sections they view, how far they scroll, which links and buttons they click, whether they start or finish the sign-up form, the website or campaign that referred them, and their browser, device type and screen size.
This works without cookies. Nothing is stored on or read from your device beyond what every browser sends with each request. PostHog counts unique visitors with a one-way hash of your IP address and browser details, computed on its servers with a secret that changes every day, so a visit cannot be linked to you or to your visits on other days. Your IP address is discarded and never stored. We do not record your screen or what you type, and the analytics are not linked to your waiting-list sign-up. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we collect no analytics at all.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how people find and use the site, so we can improve it and reach the teams Jack is for (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time by turning on Do Not Track or by emailing us.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use your details to contact you about early access and the launch of Jack, and to understand which teams and tasks to support first. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us; withdrawal does not affect anything done before it.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts this site, runs the form handler that receives your sign-up, and relays analytics to PostHog.
- PostHog stores the waiting list and the site analytics in its EU region (Frankfurt, Germany).
Both act as our data processors under data processing agreements. Where either accesses data from outside the EEA, it does so under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until twelve months after Jack launches publicly, or until you withdraw your consent, whichever comes first. Then we delete them. We keep analytics for the same period at most.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct them, to delete them, or to restrict or object to their use. Email hello@getjack.dev and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, or the authority where you live.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change affects how we use details you already gave us, we will ask for your consent again.
